Training

DAID Nigeria  Limited has a proactive approach to training, and includes international training of our personnel to allow good working knowledge of new products before they ever require operational support in Nigeria.

 1.1     Formal Classroom Training

DAID Nigeria Ltd has a dedicated training facility in the Isolo complex which includes a library of  training media, including slides, videos, and multimedia applications.  Training is by internal trainers, and supplement by regular visiting trainers from external consultants, associated Manufacturers’ personnel (both product experts from the manufacturing, and service specialists). 

  1.2     On The Job (OTJ) Training

Great emphasis is placed on practical training, with a formal apprenticeship program in the Project department .  This is an ongoing skills audit of each engineer, related to job segments undertaken. Training supervisors undertake ongoing training in the field and workshop to emphasize correct techniques and procedures in all operating environments.
